The hotel has been the natural meeting place in Southern Sweden for recreation, entertainment, and work since 1897 – a classic among Sweden's hotels that has evolved over time. The journey from a prestigious seaside hotel to today's complete conference and spa facility has been remarkable. This gem will always be extra special to us because this is where it all started. Ystad Saltsjöbad is the first hotel that ESS had the chance to acquire, and we took over its management in 2007.
Our beautiful destination follows a New Port style and currently consists of 139 fantastic accommodation rooms and a total of 13 meeting rooms. Our guests can choose between two different restaurants: Port – a Swedish/American seafood restaurant, or Gildas – a cozy and familial Italian restaurant with only about 40 seats.
Although we jokingly say that we have Saturday all week long here, the hotel truly comes to life during the summer months – when we open our outdoor terrace and The Shufflebar, which is located by the beach.
We have high ambitions, and our goal is to be among the top 10 destination hotels in the world. Every day, we have the same goal in everything we do for our guests – to create regulars. The key to achieving this is the people who work with us, which is why we are constantly looking for new talents who share our values: who are passionate, professional, and at the same time, dare to be playful.
