The history goes far back in time. Already in 1937, the first building was completed on the same site where our current hotel is located. The hotel was built in the functionalist style and had an elegant rounded restaurant with large panoramic windows facing the sea. Falkenberg Strandbad is often referred to as "Gothenburg's Hamptons" and yes, the beachfront location is fantastic and indeed, we have won numerous awards, but in reality, Strandbaden is about only one thing.

It is about taking the location, the luxurious spa club, the restaurants serving Nordic, French and American cuisine, the fantastic meeting facilities, cozy rooms, and creating a place where you feel good, whether you are here with your friend, partner, family, or company.

The restaurant business is incredibly central to us, with three restaurants offering distinctly different concepts available to our guests. Famille – Our main restaurant where we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sandy's – A modern grill with a mix of the best seafood, fish, and steaks combined with the most beautiful vegetables. The atmosphere of meat is mixed with seafood and vegetables, a modern surf 'n' turf. Bistro Mer – Every summer we open the doors to Bistro Mer, a given oasis for groups spending the day on Skrea beach.

To ensure that we do not lose any talents due to geographical difficulties, we have arranged staff housing adjacent to the hotel.
